New Jeni kits

Okay so I am in love with Jeni Hopewell's new "Benjamin" kit. It's all boy. Let me tell you how hard it is sometimes to scrap for boys. This kit is perfect for my two boys. Thanks Jeni!

This next one is from Jeni's mini-kit, "Lovely in Lavender". I made this for Elena, Douglas' best friend.

Catch up

I've been using alot of templates lately. I have so many pages to scrap that I'm trying to catch up. Here are a few that I've done lately. I don't have the credits listed b/c I'm not posting them on any of my digi galleries. If you want to know what something is, leave a comment and I'll find it. I will say that the second one (families are forever) is from Jeni Hopewell's & GG designs Home sweet home kit. It's also the right page to the grandparents page below a couple posts.

Birth Announcement

I finally made Harrison's birth announcement. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

Grab bag

Here is my layout using Jeni's grab bag. I used the alpha and kit on this layout. The journal tag, friend, and scallop are the only things NOT from her grab bag and they are still her products. This layout is about Douglas' best friend Elena. He pats her back, gives her hugs, and squeals with her. They are so cute together.

Pretties kit

Jeni has been really busy! Scrap Matters is having a birthday sale. Check out her website for all her new releases. I need to use her stuff from her "Grab bag" ($15 worth for only $3) but here is my layout using mainly her "Pretties" mini kit. It's a scraplift and I love it.

Home sweet home

Jeni Hopewell and GG Digital Designs have a new collab kit coming out tomorrow called "Home Sweet Home". This layout uses only this kit and I'm using a Jeni Hopewell template.

New Jeni layouts

Sarah (check out her blog on the left side) posted this adorable menu planner that she made. She found the idea from here. I like the calendar look better but I only do 2 weeks at a time as well so this one worked best for me. I also started it on Monday instead of Sunday b/c I do the grocery shopping on Monday. A real note pad will go on top of the paper on the right. I still need to print, laminate, and put magnets on it. Hopefully I can get that done this weekend. Everything is from Jeni Hopewell's Summer Breeze kit except the notepaper which is from Melissa Wilson's Sack Lunck kit.

Most everything is from Jeni Hopewell's "Soft Blankets" kit but there are a couple things from her other kits so check out the credits here.

Creative teams

I dropped all my creative teams but 1, Melissa Wilson. However, I have the awesome privilege of being a guest creative team member for the month of July for Rachel Young Designs. Here is my first layout using her "Summer Sweetness" kit. This is the left page. I still need to do the right page with our family pictures on it. I'll post it when it's finished.

Leave of absence

After doing 5 in 1 week I took a 2 week break but I'm back. Here are two I did yesterday.

Wow, I've done 5 layouts in 1 week! I'm just trying to make up for last month where I wasn't too great. Here are some more that I've done.

New layouts

I have been scrapping, I just haven't posted in a while. So first up is a new kit by Jeni Hopewell, "On the playground". The cool thing about this is that I actually know her. I remember her doing "Stampin Up" parties before getting into digital scrapping. I think she's been digi-scrapping for less than a year and is now designing. Talk about talented.

This layout was done with a template from Sweet Shoppe Designs Cookie Cutter challenge. I love those challenges because they have the cutest templates. I've really been digging templates lately. They go so much faster!

Next I redid a page from Douglas' first year album. It's of Douglas meeting Grandparent Boyers in the hospital. Everything is from Designs by Krista' "Roots" Kit. This too used a template from the Cookie Cutter challenges.

In other news, I am a guest creative team member for Rachel Young designs for the month of July. I'm so excited! Anyway, that's it.

Melissa Wilson "Damask, Diamonds, and Dots"

So Melissa Wilson has this new kit out "Damask, Diamonds, and Dots". It's a beautiful kit but I thought, Oh no! What will I do with that? I have no girls. So I went back to a bridal picture and used it. It's very girly but hey, that's what wedding dresses and brides are, right? I also used the template from Sweet shoppe designs cookie cutter challenge this week.

Redo

I'm getting ready to cash in my Shutterfly certificates that I had so I was flipping through the family album and came across several that were my first attempts at digi-scrapping that look awful to me. What was I thinking? :-) So first off is a redo and I did it for a scraplift challenge at The Digi-Chick.
See credits here.

I redid one more page and made them "match" for a two pager. Below are the orginal two followed by the redos.

Sweet Treat

This is with Melissa Wilson's new kit "Sack lunch" Check it out at Snap and Scrap (see link to the side). It would be especially cool for school age kids. There is an add-on pack that matches it. Overall though, it's a pretty versatile kit. I participated in Sweet Shoppe Designs Cookie cutter challenge this week and this was the template. I like it.

Rachel's Designs

I'm creating for Rachel Donald of Rachel's Designs at Gotta Pixel now. Here are the two I've done for her. The best part about the second layout is that it's the LAST 8x10 I had to do!!!! Now, I only do 8x8's. Yeah!! This is her Fried Pickles kit. I love the greens, blues, and brown.

This is her "Where's the Party at?" kit. See credits for both here.

Badge Album

So I decided to make a badge album for Douglas. I LOVE how it turned out! It's so much cuter in person. I first saw it on Sarahs' blog back in Feburary and then Melissa Wilson created templates using her new kit. So, seeing all this made me want one myself. I decided to make it with all items from one of the ladies I create for. I chose Designs by Krista "Bright Sunshiney Day" kit. The cardboard type frames are hers as well but from different kits.

Hooray! I only have 1 more layout to do for Douglas' 1st year album. It will be eating his birthday cupcake. Anyway, here is Santa.

Melissa Wilson at Snap and Scrap

So I've been on the look out for creative teams. I saw on Brianne's blog (hope you don't mind) about Melissa Wilson so I looked her up and saw that she was still advertising a need for creative team members so I applied. I believe she's a new designer. Anyway, I'm looking forward to using her stuff. Here is her new kit "Kitchen Curtain."

Challenge 11

Challenge 10 Stephanie did and Challenge 11 was just to have something with wings in it. I don't care for my layout all that much but I'm too lazy to change it, plus I don't know how to fix it. Any suggestions?

Help!!!

Okay, so I need to scrap some pages on Easter. Here's my dilemma, whose album do I put it in, the family album or Douglas' album? Currently I have a physical album for family things and one for Douglas' 1st year. In his first year album I did a page for every month and special events. I was planning on doing another album for just Douglas, but was NOT going to do a page for every month. I'm wondering if I should even have a separate album for Douglas becasue so many things I would want to put there I'd want to include in the family album as well. However, there will be single events, etc that will work best in his own album. What do you guys do with your albums?

Challenge #9

This challenge was to scrap using the "altered art" style. This site gave a few examples of it. Anyway, I've always wanted to do a page with Douglas having wings, kind of an angel. A lot of people were using wings so I figured if I did then I'd be safe since so many others were. I think I'll go back and play with the elements in the corner. They kind of bother me. Any ideas on what to do with them?

10 months

This is for Douglas' 1st year album which is 8x10. Unfortunately, I still have 4 more pages. I really don't like scrapping 8x10. Anyways, I feel like something is missing here. Any suggestions?

Challenge 8

I skipped posting #7 because it was the STUPIDist challenge I've ever seen! Anyway, number 8 was to have black & white pictures, be about a vacation, use part of lyrics, and have a 1 word title. I used the Bloomin kit by Designs by Krista.
